The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah is at the center of the recent crisis that has gripped Lebanon and rattled a region already rife with conflict. The old rivalry between the Shiites and the Sunnis has resulted in a brewing battle between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The conflict between the Iranian-backed Shiite Hezbollah militant group and the far more dominant Sunni-led Saudis is threatening the entire Middle East region with renewed war. Even Israel, who has battled Hezbollah in the past is now siding with the Saudis in the fight against Iran and the terrorist group.
