The so-called “Arab Spring” of 2011 has resulted in an increase in chaos and anti-Israel rumblings throughout the entire region of the Middle East. Already more militant Islamic factions have risen to power in Egypt and Libya and Syria is probably not far behind. The Bible predicted thousands of years ago that when Israel becomes a nation again—a prophecy that was fulfilled in 1948—that there would be a time of fear and not of peace for the Jewish people. The prophecies foretell a time of increasing danger to Israel that will lead to an attack by all nations upon that small land. God says that He will gather all nations to do battle in a valley in north central Israel at the end of this age.
